Grundtvig Lifelong Learning Partnership

A successful cooperation between Social Profit Organizations and a business could be a win-win situation for both parties involved. The idea of developing cooperations was presented by Austria to the partners, who have a couple of fine examples to share in a hope that such a model could be replicated in other EU countries. As the majority of EU countries face similar economic challenges, high unemployment of working age disabled people, as well as people depending on long term state benefits. This project will demonstrate how such a cooperation can be a tool for the integration of people with disabilities into the labor market.

Project idea: 
Development of competencies of staff working in Social Profit Organizations (SPOs). Sharing good practice examples to encourage cooperations between SPOs and businesses to maximise social and economic benefits for disabled and disadvantaged people.

The main objective of the partnership is to share learning and transfer knowledge. The study and evaluation of successful examples will enable and lead staff to find innovative cooperations between employees of SPOs and businesses. The key objective is to encourage development of successful cooperations between SPOs and businesses resulting in skills development and sustainable employment opportunities.

The development of cooperations will provide innovative opportunities to achieve the project's goals. The SPOs will develop and create new ways for supporting people with disabilities and/or long term unemployed people that would not be possible without such cooperations.

The long-term impact of the project will be the creation of more and better jobs for people with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups, increasing public awareness about the potential of people with disabilities.

Grundtvig ist ein EU gefördertes Programm im Bereich der Erwachsenenbildung. Das Programm unterstützt dabei neue Wege der Zusammenarbeit in Europa. Personen bekommen durch Auslandsaufenthalte und Projekte neue Kompetenzen und Fähigkeiten für Beruf und persönliche Entwicklung.

Kooperationen zwischen Profit und Non-Profit Organisationen
Die Caritas für Menschen mit Behinderungen setzt in der beruflichen Eingliederung und Arbeitsintegration schon seit vielen Jahren auf die wirtschaftliche Vernetzung und Kooperation zwischen Non-Profit und Profit Organisationen. Der internationale Erfahrungsaustausch ist dabei ein wichtiger Faktor, der durch die Grundtvig Lifelong Learning Partnerschaft umgesetzt werden kann.

Zur Projektidee
Für die Umsetzung von Kooperationen ist die Kompetenzentwicklung der MitarbeiterInnen in Non-Profit Organisationen ein wesentlicher Faktor um der Herausforderung, wirtschafltiche und sozialen Interessen in einem Projekt zu vereinen, gerecht zu werden. 

Primäres Ziel der EU-Partnerschaft ist daher der Erfahrungsaustausch und Wissenstransfer zwischen Kooperationspartnern, Organisationen und MitarbeiterInnen in Kooperationsprojekten anhand von Best Practise Modellen innerhalb der Partnerländer. Durch die Evaluierung erfolgreicher Kooperationsprojekte sollen Richtlinen und Qualitätsmerkmale zur erfolgreichen Implementierung von Kooperationsprojekten, immer unter dem Fokus Menschen mit Beeinträchtigungen neue, innovative Wege in der Arbeitsintegration zu ermöglichen, definiert werden.

Projektpartner
Das Projekt wird mit Partnerorganisationen aus den Ländern Ungarn (Symbiosis Foundation), Tschechien (o.s. Ergon-Chránená dilna), Finnland (ETEVA) und England (Ideal for All) im Zeitraum August 2001 bis Juli 2013 umgesetzt.
